Privacy Policy
This page explains what information Web Mantra collects, why I collect it, and how I look after it. No fine print.

Web Mantra is a small Perth business run by me, Raj Tophakhane. In this policy, “I”, “me” and “Web Mantra” all mean the same thing. I handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
I only collect what I need to reply to you and do the work you ask for. That can include:
I use your information to:
I don’t sell, rent or trade your personal information. I won’t add you to a marketing list without asking first, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
I don’t share your details with anyone except the trusted services I use to run the business, and only as much as they need:
Some of these providers (for example Google and Automattic, which runs Akismet) may store information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. I choose well-known providers that protect the data they hold.
I may also share information if the law requires me to.
This website uses cookies, which are small files stored by your browser. Some are needed for the site to work. Others, from Google Analytics, tell me things like which pages are popular. Analytics data is grouped together and isn’t used to identify you.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
I take reasonable steps to protect your information. The site runs over a secure (HTTPS) connection. Logins are protected, and I keep software up to date. Client logins and access are kept private, and I ask you to remove my access when our work finishes. When I no longer need your information, I delete it or de-identify it, unless I have to keep it by law (for example, tax records).
You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, or ask me to correct or delete it. Just email admin@webmantra.com.au. There’s no charge, and I’ll usually reply within a few business days. I may need to confirm who you are first.
If you have a question or you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, please contact me first and I’ll do my best to fix it:
If you’re not satisfied with my response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
I may update this policy from time to time, for example when I start using a new tool. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
