Privacy Policy

Your privacy, in plain English

This page explains what information Web Mantra collects, why I collect it, and how I look after it. No fine print.

Last updated: 21 September 2026

Who I am

Web Mantra is a small Perth business run by me, Raj Tophakhane. In this policy, “I”, “me” and “Web Mantra” all mean the same thing. I handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What I collect

I only collect what I need to reply to you and do the work you ask for. That can include:

  • Contact details: your name, email address, phone number, business name and website, when you fill in a form, email or call me.
  • Your message: whatever you tell me about your business and what you need help with.
  • Client account access: if we work together, I may need access to things like your website, Google Business Profile, Google Analytics or Search Console. I only use this access to do the agreed work.
  • Website visit data: general information such as pages viewed, device, browser, approximate location and how you found the site. This is collected with cookies (see below) and doesn’t tell me who you are.

How I use it

I use your information to:

  • reply to your enquiry and prepare your free audit
  • deliver, report on and invoice for the work we agree on
  • keep you updated about your project
  • understand how people use this website so I can improve it
  • meet my legal and tax obligations.

I don’t sell, rent or trade your personal information. I won’t add you to a marketing list without asking first, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Who I share it with

I don’t share your details with anyone except the trusted services I use to run the business, and only as much as they need:

  • my website host and email provider, which store and deliver website data and emails
  • Google Analytics, which shows me how visitors use the site
  • Akismet, which checks form submissions for spam
  • my accountant and business software, for invoicing and tax.

Some of these providers (for example Google and Automattic, which runs Akismet) may store information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. I choose well-known providers that protect the data they hold.

I may also share information if the law requires me to.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses cookies, which are small files stored by your browser. Some are needed for the site to work. Others, from Google Analytics, tell me things like which pages are popular. Analytics data is grouped together and isn’t used to identify you.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

Keeping your information safe

I take reasonable steps to protect your information. The site runs over a secure (HTTPS) connection. Logins are protected, and I keep software up to date. Client logins and access are kept private, and I ask you to remove my access when our work finishes. When I no longer need your information, I delete it or de-identify it, unless I have to keep it by law (for example, tax records).

Seeing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, or ask me to correct or delete it. Just email admin@webmantra.com.au. There’s no charge, and I’ll usually reply within a few business days. I may need to confirm who you are first.

Questions or complaints

If you have a question or you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, please contact me first and I’ll do my best to fix it:

If you’re not satisfied with my response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time, for example when I start using a new tool. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
